- Powerful and reliable Sicce PSK-1000 pump
-Quite operation
-Easy to remove collection cup
-Sexy Lookin
These will be available very soon, price will be $389.99 watch for them to be available on the site. www.elite-aquatics.net

Tyler i like the the look but a few questions....... How does it stack up against say my skimmer ? (160 swc) Is the pump more reliable ? And why is the bottom where the pump is positioned open and the pump isnt enclosed in the body ?

Not Tyler but...
1) Much better than an SWC 160 IMO. Will it pull more skimate? Hard to say on that. Depends on the tank
2) Doesn't the SWC use an Atmann pump? If so, then YES. WAY more reliable.
3) Less acrylic used to keep cost down, easier access to pump for cleaning and removal.
Great looking skimmer Tyler! I wish there was a nano version to go with my new sump!

This skimmer is a little bigger then the SWC 160. SWC's are great skimmers their only downfall is their pumps (Atman 2500). The Atman is not a *bad* pump but they have been known for not lasting to long. Also the Sicce pulls quiet a bit more air = more foam Yes the Sicce is much more reliable then the Atman. I left the pump outside the body on this skimmer for a few reasons, 1st and most important is ease of removing the pump if needed 2nd is water can actually move more freely around the skimmer as well which is bonus.

I am thinking 200 gallons on this one, still a little more testing to do I will have a few in some different size tanks very soon, a 75 gallon, my 130 and a 220.

Here are some skimate shots to show how this thing is doing. This is about 4 days worth of skimate in my 200 gallon system with only 4 fish.

So glad that you named your new skimmer after me :) Does that mean I get a discount? LOL But seriously, I think I want one. Have any made ready to go? Do you think this will be comparable to the SWC 180, are you using the same pump?
