This may be a dumb question but what exactly does a carbon reacotr do?  And does it really help much more than s scok filled with carbon in a high flow area of your sump?  I am just trying to decide If I shold look at investing in one.  Thanks

I have a couple carbon reactors in my garage. I too just put carbon in the filter sock. I am sure the reactor works better, but the sock is just so easy.
