Which coral dip are you using and why? I've heard these 2 are the best but I need your help deciding which to buy for all kinds of corals. I don't have any bugs in my tanks that I know of. I will be transferring all my corals to my bigger tank and want to dip before the transfer.

I user Revive and have always been really happy with it.

I've never used RX.
Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.

Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following.
50 Gallon rimless cube.
180 Gallons mixed reef paradise

I use CoralRx on all new SPS, and LPS. I just got a bottle of revive, cuz I was reading that zoas respond better to it, yet others say they are the same thing, so I've been using it to dip zoas and freshly cut frags.

Do the bottles have the same ingredients? Why do people say they are the same?

You have caught me in the laziness I posses!

I just got the bottle of Revive and was going strictly off what I read. Let me grab the bottles and see what I can find out about ingredients.

OK, got the bottles in front of me.

CoralRx has a very medicinal smell, which led me to believe that it a harsher dip, and that maybe the Revive was a bit gentler. I posed the question "What is the best dip for zoa/palys?" in R2R's zoa forum, cuz I noticed newly acquired/dipped zoa frags or colonies took longer to open than I was used too. Revive smells like lemons, so maybe it's more gentle, by using natural elements?

Well for ingredients on CoralRx it says "Distilled water, propietary blend of natural extracts. Contains no iodine". Very secretive?

Revive simply says "Oleum abietis 0.5%; Citrus limon 0.5%"

So going off smell alone, not the same. Going off ingredients, maybe have some of the same stuff?

I'm leaning more toward Revive based on what you guys have told me. It sounds more gentle on the corals and just as lethal to the bugs and friends.
