I am not sure how often to feed my anemone.  I have been feeding it krill about once or twice a week.  Is that too much?

Nope, not too much.

I don't spot feed my anemone at all. I figure it grabs stuff when I feed the fish.

The more you feed, the faster they split...right?

more food=bigger, doesn't necessarily mean they'll split though.

Nope. I did some research and it seems that no one really knows what will make an anemone split (besides taking a razor knife to it). I've heard over feeding, under feeding, changing flow, changing it's position, swapping lights, etc... will make them split.

That said, feeding them is great (apart from the added waist). I've had my RBTA for about 2.5 years now and it has made some astounding changes, but has never split.

This is so fun. It's so cool to have so many people talking about splitting anemones.
Just for fun, let's travel back in time to 1995. Bare bottom tanks had become a cool way to do a reef and everyone was trying to make reverse flow skimmers with an airstone. The coolest anemone was a Sebae that died within 6 months. Condylactis anemones lived for a year if you were lucky.
How fun is this now!

I had one RBTA now I have 5, don't know why though.  I had one split and I sent it over to another tank and it split again within the Hour.  Big smile  Go figure.
I honestly think it is better to be a failure at something you love than to be a success at something you hate.

I have her of people having the params off on their tank to make them split faster. They tend to reproduce faster that way the keep the species alive. Atleast that is what i have been told
