That is about the furthest thing from bryopsis. It's diatoms or the starrt of cyanobacteria. No need for magnesium dosing. Bryopsis is long green feathery algae. What are your parameters, and can you tell us more about your aquarium?

Water change schedule best at 10% monthly. More often than that can create the algae you are seeing. Don't vacuum the sand when doing water changes. That can also lead to what we are seeing. Have you added much LS from other tanks? The more critters that can live in the sand, the cleaner it will be. Add a Sand Sifting Cucumber. They are great for cleaning the sand. I have two in my 20 gal which I feed excessively, 1/2 -1 cube daily. Add more snails, Ceriths for the sand. Scrape the algae off the back with a long handled scraper(not brush) or flat kitchen spatula. It will probably take a long time to grow back. Lastly, cutting back on feeding will slow the algae.

I only have sand from 2 other tanks . Will try to get a few more cups of sand from others. I have a sea hare will that work ?
