I'm slowly moving towards tearing down my 125... but before I do, I want to keep frags of some of my leathers.
What is the best way to attach frags of Devils Hand and Toadstools?

I like the toothpick method. stick a plastic toothpick through the leather about 1/2-1" above the cut edge. Then loop a rubber band over a rock and the two end of the toothpick. After about a week you can take off the band and slide the toothpick out.

I like sewing them around rocks. Or just placing them between two rocks until they attach.

I like this idea best! It seems to work for everyone.

I have used the toothpick method and that worked great for me, another method I have used it placing the coral between 2 rocks and just waiting for it to attach itself.

I'll have to try the toothpick trick, I've never tried that before.
I have tried the placing between rocks and the thread/sewing, and had okay luck with both of those. I'm really just looking for a better option.
Tonight I'll have to turn my 6 gal nano into a min frag tank... hopefully I'll have another tank setup before the frags outgrow the nano!

A simple elastic is quick and simple. Not too tight or it cuts too much through the flesh. This one was ready to have the elastic removed.

Not all leathers are created equal. Depending on how fragile the coral is, you can use any of these methods - or use bridal veil to tie the frag down until it attaches.
BTW - I like using wooden toothpicks. You can easily break the toothpick after inserting it through the coral. This sometimes helps with the placement or to insure the rubberbands can be installed correctly. Many times, I have not ever removed the toothpick. Just clip the ends near the coral after it has attached.

I like the toothpick method for most frags. If it's a bigger one the pure rubber band works well.
