Ive currently got a fluval led light, and 1 t8 super atinic bulb. I love the blue from the atinic during the day, and it makes it great to look at during night. Is it overkill leaving the t8 on 24/7?

Yea, you need to allow the corals to have some dark time so they can complete their biological processes.
