I am going to build a stand for my new 180g. Does anyone have advice before I start? Maybe a link to a good build thread?
.Tight budget, most likely wood.
Thanks.

I would go with 6 4x4 support posts, then 2x4 or so to horizontally support the beams, check out the basic principle in my thread. Keep it simple, can alwayse wrap the outside with finish plywood or something.

Looks good, my concern would be all that pressure on the 4x4 posts on the bottom of the tank

Thats a good point, if its a glass tank it should be able to handle it, but for saftey you can lay a piece of plywood down on top the beams, spread the pressure out more evenly. and even set the tank in the support like i did.
