Seems I heard somewhere, that there could be an infection issue from having an unclean puncture wound.

Certainly couldn't hurt to get medical advice...may some antibiotic.

I just pay a little more attention to what i am doing.

I would just cut it off. Make sure it's sharp knife and if you don't have one, go and visit Dion.
