Anyone one dosing and testing this element?
Research confirms mandatory for sps. Any thoughts.
Was also told that the test kits are really expensive.
i just purchased some today.

They are fairly expensive (and can be hard to find). I dose twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I use Brightwell Aquatics brand but any brand will work. I just follow the directions on the bottle.

I used to dose strontium, and having an SPS dominant tank wonder if I should start again, but I'm paranoid about dosing anything I can't test for when it comes to trace elements.

Do you test for strontium?

I don't test for it (even though I probably should). I have never had a problem with just following the directions on the bottle.

Steve, do you notice any difference in your corals dosing strontium vs. not?

I have been dosing Strontium to my tanks for over a year now and like it. I don't know that anything drastic has happened but my corals are all alive and happy!

I don't test for it and I don't dose the recommended amount. I dose about half what is called for and maybe dose once a week. If I miss a week or two, I don't worry about it.
