Laying around the house on New Year's Day, I figured I might as well snap some pics of the tank... anyway, for these I had only the actinics on (no halides) but I used a flash so they look OK...
 
 
 
The Tangs don't seem to mind being photographed at all

wow, the banggai cardinals have grown quite a bit.  Great job!  What do you feed them and what did you feed them when they were first released?
If you can't bedazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bs!

They have been eating live baby brine since the day they were released... I try to feed a minimum of 4 times / day. For the last week I have substituted at least 1 feeding / day with frozen Cyclopeeze to start weaning them off the live food. I also take 1 or 2 pieces of flake food and crumble those up to get them interested in flake... about half the fish will take the flake right now; they all take the Cyclopeeze but all still prefer the live brine overall.
 
I think one thing that has helped greatly is the setup of the nursery tank; in particular the "filtration system" that consists of incoming water siphoned from the main display, then returned via a powerhead from the nursery back into the display. This ensures that the nursery water is exactly the same composition and temperature as the display - with (of course) no detectable nH3/ nO2/ nO3/ pO4, etc, and I don't have to deal with any water changes or organic / ammonia buildup inside the nursery tank.
 
The return powerhead is running about 50 gph; so the 10g nursery tank gets it's water changed the equivalent of almost 5X per hour... consistent clean, mature saltwater the same chemical makeup as the spawning water and the water the male held the eggs in... IMO a key factor in keeping the babies healthy and allowing good growth.

Great setup.  If you could raise them on flake, that would be major news.  From what I've heard, even the tank-raised cardinals don't take flakes.  It looks like your survival rate is great too.

Mine are "nibbling" at the flake... don't know that it will mean they will consume it in any quantity long-term, though. We shall see...
 
And the 1 fry I lost after the release (you might recall I started with 13) was killed by me (accidently) when I crushed it with the powerhead. So, yeah, otherwise zero losses...again I would attribute that to the ability to maintain excellent water quality within the nursery itself.
