Could some of you please give me the pro's and con's of the apex and the digital aquatic's.
I don't have a cal. reactor but I do have 8 different lights that I want to control and 5 pumps plus a aquamedic's 3 doser pump, skimmer, heater , top off etc.

Fu has an Apex and it looks really cool, but one of the 'coolest' things about it (IMO) is all the wireless Internet access features and webcam capability. If your not interested in those capabilities, then you might find a less expensive option.

I myself bought a used AC3 w/ a DC8 but I haven't even set it up yet Embarrassed so I can't comment on the performance. I want it to control pumps / wavemaker function, control pH / Ca Reactor, control ORP / Ozonizer, and the usual temp / heater stuff... plus I should be able to set it up to send me email alerts / alarms via my work phone (Blackberry)... if it does all those things then I will be very satisfied and I only spent $200, including the probes and cables Big smile

If I went with the apex I would have to buy more than 1 outlet device! will apex run x-10's?

I believe the apex is backwards compatible, but there's better technology in the Apex-specific power strips.
