In setting up my 90, I don't plan on having a canopy.  Does this mean that I have to use a complete hood system ($$$$)?  Has anyone put together a hanging system for long tubes and MH?

You could use hanging pendant lighting.

Amie, that's right.  I've been to Mark's -but I was thinking about general set up and not lights at the time.  Are there others as well?

Mike, are you thinking of the hooded pendants?  Aren't they expensive as well?

Yes, all of them that I have seen have been expensive and I don't care for the look. I don't care to look at a tank for long when there is light coming from below the fixture and above the tank into my eyes.
