Can you tell me about your tank.  Equipment, sump, dosing, parameters, etc.

I have a 120 gal fat as well and it is definitely inspiring to see your beautiful setup.

Sure, it's a standard 48 x 24 x 24 AGA with a 30 gallon Oceanic sump in the stand.  I have an Iwaki 1300 GPM return and 2 x Vortech MP40w pumps usually set on reefcrest mode.  Lighting is the 48" AquaMedic Ocean Light with 2 x 250 Watt Phoenix 14k MH + 2x ATI Blue Plus + 1 KZ Fiji Purlple + 1 ATI Pure Actinic.  I upgraded my skimmer last fall to the ATB 840 v2.0 and love it (wish TCFab had had his for sale at the time...would have gone with his version).  After reading about the horrors of the Marineland heaters starting about a year ago, I replaced my heater with a True Temp heater from BRS...it has a separate controller and remote sensor, so I feel much safer now with this heater (if the unit ever gets stuck on, as heaters tend to do, the controller will override and shut it off).

I dose Randy's 2 part (BRS Calcium Chloride and Arm & Hammer BS) with an AquaMedic Reef Doser.  The ALK gets dosed every 3 hours to keep dKH around 7 and the Ca gets dosed every 12 hours to maintain 420ppm.  I manually dose about a half cup of Mag mixture (BRS Mag Chlor and Epsom Salts) once per week to maintain approx. 1380ppm.

I switched to a probiotics based system last September and have loved the results...would never consider switching back.  I seeded with MB7 and Prodibio Biodigest and my daily dosing regimen includes: Vodka, Iodide (vibrance), Potassium, Strontium, and MB7.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words Smile

And I thought Carbins post was just supposed to be funny, but then I noticed they joined today so I think it is definitely spam!

Jake, keep the video's coming! I enjoyed watching them.
Chad.
What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!
