Just wondering who uses or has used this and what you think? I am trying to decide if I want to go with this or just get a basic wavemaker without all the extras.....Thanks!

for the price of the new reefkeeper lite and the low model apex, i would definitely go with a controller.  It just gives you some safeguards with heating/cooling and pH monitoring.  You can get the basic kits for right around $100.

I have a RK lite and I love it I am waiting for the SL-1 to get here for the PH and ORP monitoring but at this point I just run my lights, fan, and heater off the controller. For the price you can't beat it

I am thinking a controller is all I need but I am not sure which one is better and what powerheads work the best........

Mike... do you use this for your powerheads too?

No I have not tried the wavemaker yet I didn't have enough outlets.I also run a CL. I think if you are going to go with the WM on them then you should go for the jr or something with more DC's. You can get a extra for the lite but by the time you buy the head unit and the exta DC 4 it can cost the same a a pro.
