I just bought some silicone from home depotStar so i can build my sump/refugeClap i hope it is the right stuffSleepy I think it is but i am still new at this so i am here looking to you guys for some help and the answerThumbs Up! here is the info off of the tube i tryed to add a pic but it said it was to big.AngryAngryAngry
and it is also made by GE.
 
clear
standard waterproof caulk
window/door/attic/basment/trim
100% silicone
 
and across the top of the tube it has (Silicone 1* Silicone 1*)
with a pic of water splash right below that
 
it was ot the cheep stuff it was like 8$ but still cheeper than the pet stores!Thumbs Up

NO! That will work to seal it but is not NON-TOXIC.

Any fish store, will sell All glass brand Aquarium safe silicone. Bird world has it, petco, just about everyone.

Not True. I used GE Silicone I to reseal my 180 gallon. Just be sure it is the 100% silicone and not the "Rain Ready" or Anti-Mildew stuff.

Yeah, most people use the GE #1 100% silicone, its the same stuff that they sell at the LFS, just re-branded and half the price

my GE #1 100% silicon says "NOT FOR surfaces that will exceed 400*F, conditions where FDA compliance is necessary, or aquariums."Dead is this ok?

It will work fine. Silicone#2 should not be used. They put the aquarium disclaimer on there so they are not responsible if you use it and it fails. Make sure all of your pieces are clean and dry. (it works for glass NOT ACRYLIC.) You can use it to glue in acrylic baffels in a glass tank, but not to put together a acrylic sump.

Just put a bead on both sides of the baffels and it will work fine.
