i added two new clowns to my tank, now my hippo is hiding. i added them yesterday about noon, and he still has not come out. i can see him and looks to be fine. so heres my question, does he just need time? if so how much before i should think about moving either one of them out?

How big is the tank? Have you seen the clowns show any aggression towards the tang? What type of clowns are they?

its a 55g. i did not see them go after him, they seem really mellow. they are black and white clowns.

I would just give it time. Maybe a week. How big is the tang? If he is on the smaller side then there should be plenty of room in the tank.....  For now Wink

he is about 2 1/2''. yeah it would be nice to go bigger, but im short on space in a duplex. hopefully in time. p.s. he went right to hiding they did not even get a chance to pick on him.

hippos are sensitive fish. They hide. I would just give him time. He'll come out when he feels safe
