Don't know if this is the right forum but oh well I will try. I have seen some
white spots growing on my recently and not sure what they are. Just today I
also found some on 2 snails. I thought it was coralline algae but I took a
tooth pick to it and it feels soft almost sponge like. Anyone have any idea
on what it is and how to fix if I need to?

Tunicate or Sponge. You may know more about the hobby than you realize.

I love seeing sponge and sea squirts/tunicates. They are a sign of a healthy tank.

Would they be flat? Wouldn't I see a hole in them?

You know, I'm changing my mind about these. I'm going to say they are Astrea Snail egg pouches. Though on the rock there could be a small white ball sponge circled. If you find these on the glass, look closely with a magnifying glass or jewelers loop and you will see about 30 tiny amber colored eggs. They hatch in about 4 days, but rarely do the young survive. They are probably too tasty for small Amphipods to pass on.

I think you are right kind of ;) I did a search and found Neritidae eggs and
now that I see them I remember that I started seeing the white sacks after I
put in some of them. See the picture below.
