Topic: fairy wrasse and flasher wrasse question Posted: August 27 2009 at 10:56pm |
Anyone in here have experience with keeping flashers and fairy wrasses together. I have heard that they might fight and I have never kept them in the same tank before. I was thinking about putting a small group of about 5 flashers in my 175 and was wondering if I would still be able to do a scotts fairy wrasse in there with them. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Chad.

What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!

Sweet! I do want to come see your tanks one of these days Brad. I'm sure they look even better in person then they do in the pics I've seen. Thanks for the advice. Chad. also do you have any yellow coris wrasses in there with them? I was reading that the yellow guys can be kept in groups and I thought they would be another great addition.

I had a yellow coris for about 2 yrs before he got out of my 65g. They were peaceful as well. I just never got another one.

I think I am going to add a small group of flashers (probably Carpenters) like 4 females and one male. Then I think I will add a small group of female Scotts fairy wrasses, like 3 or 4. Then I want to add a few canary wrasses like 3 or 4. I also want to add some more Gobiodon species like the green and red. I also want to do a firefish or maybe a purple or helfrich firefish and some zebra dart gobies cuz they are cheap and hardy. Then I want to add some sunburst and some purple queen anthias and hopefully I will be done with fish except for maybe another tang or 2 in the future. I wonder if that is just going to be too much fish in my 175 and I don't know how soon and which of those fish I will be able to find so I will just go slow and see which ones I really end up with but hopefully I will have quite a few in there eventually. Right now I have 1 blue hippo tang, 1 foxface, 2 royal grammas, 1 sixline wrasse, 1 black molly, 2 red cardinals, 1 blue angel, 4 neon gobies, 1 cling fish, 1 eyelash blenny and 1 lawnmower blenny, 3 pearly jawfish and 1 yellow clown goby. Chad.

The Scotts females will be the most aggressive of the bunch. Be careful with those. Females tend to be more aggressive than the males. And the firefish will definately be intimidated by the wrasses. My helfrichi lasted one night. If you do get all of these fish, I would get the firefish first and the scotts last.

That's good to know because I was going to do the firefish first but I was thinking of the scotts next.
