Anyone have any Dendroneptheas?  I would like to get your advise on what you are using to feed them, and I could really use some pics of them.

Even if you see a nice specimen in a pet store, please let me know.

Thanks

I had a small purple one that lasted about 6 months in my tank.  I fed it Golden Pearls.  The smallest size I could get.

I can get you pics, but it lives no longer so you can't take any yourself.

I used to keep one in my sump.

It was showered with fine bubbles.  I think it feed of the organics collected by the bubbles.  I had it for years, but got rid of it about a year ago.

They eat phyto and lots of it. Apparently no one can keep them alive for very long. Charles Delbeek has been trying for years (so he says)to keep one without using natural sea water in Hawaii.

I have a pink one, going on 9 months. it's in my refugium. I have a baffle with macro algae that flows right on top of it. It has majorly shrunken, but it's polyps are always out, and it has spread onto a few small rocks. I feed it Phyto ounce in a while and Kent micro vert. Before I had this one I had a nice red one, that was close to 2 years old, that I lost during a move. I find I have had luck keeping them close with macro algae, and a lot of flow.
