so my dendro got attacked by another coral about a week ago.... it is missing i would say 1/3 of its tenactles, and in that spot you can see the skeleton of it... it seems to be doing ok i guess the other tentacles still come out but not nearly as far... is there anybody out there that has had this happen before? should i do a dip or any input would be great
if it has stablized you should leave it how it is. i haven't had this happen with dendros per say, but with acans and trachys you can have them half gone and if they stop deteriorating they usually come back. when fragging acans you can cut strait throught the mouth and they do fine, dendros are probably the same. i would just make sure it doesnt get worse. brown jelly can cause problems fast if it gets a bacterial infection. if that happens wash it in FW or iodine.

I read Dendro and think Dendronepthia. That's a soft coral and may easily recover, though Dendronepthia is not the hardiest of coral and most people cannot get it to grow.
Help me understand what kind of coral you have.
