OK, so I started this back in August 2013. Figured I'd start a little progression thread. It's been so long since I've had a tank (20 yrs) that I'm basically relearning all of this. Dealing with some algae probs, and one of the clowns has been fighting off some sort of parasite/infection/something, but seems to be recovering well. Overall, pretty pleased with the progress so far.

Initial setup 8/12/13

Live rock added 8/17/13

Added a lawnmower blenny this week, and he is doing an excellent job at demolishing the hair algae on the back of the tank. Up-to-date photo as of 11/19/13:

Thanks guys, yeah Johnny I did some research on natural structures and rearranged the rockwork a bit to more closely resemble a patch reef with less height and some separation on the right side.

The tank seems to have turned the corner on the algae front. Coralline algae is popping up everywhere, and cyano/slime algae is totally gone, as is the hair algae. Having to supplement feed my lawnmower blenny now :) Still dealing with some diatom blooms on the glass which I think is a result of the water coming out of my new RO/DI system. Anyone else dealt with that around SLC?

New additions this week are a Solorensis fairy wrasse, couple of frogspawn frags and a purple goniopora frag from frag fest. Pretty stoked on the state of things now, think I'll just let everything grow for a few months. Might add a Bangaii cardinal or two and call it good.
