Help! Anyone out there with a Digital Aquatics system? I need to buy
or borrow a RKM-SID device to update my Reefkeeper system. I just bought a RKL and it's still running firmware 1.03.
A SID
is the small black box that adapts a USB cable to the bus cable on the
system. This allows a computer to update the modules of the system.
If I could borrow it for a day would be great.

i have a RKL also. i just called them i need to update mine also. do you have the silver SID that says 2V? it goes in a USB port. that is the new one, you dont need the little black box that is the old one.

Hey dc, I'm not sure what city you are in but if you want, I could just borrow it from flooringguy and you can come over and we'll knock it out all at once. I live in West Jordan.

Thanks for asking, i did mine today. did yours do the ?????? when you plugged in the head unit? if it does push it and scroll down to RKL then it will update it. it took me a while to figure it out

Just got done updating it. If it wasn't for your tip, I think it would have taken me all night to figure it out! lol. Thanks for the heads up and thanks to flooringguy for letting me borrow the SID!

nice, good to hear! if you run a fan on it run it on CH-1 or CH-4 if you use 2 or 3 it wont shut off sometimes. they say they are not wired for low voltage things(2 & 3). i ran into this problem.
