Ok, changed a bit from previous post. - I am wondering if this will work? I am putting the kalk reactor in the basement. My plan is this;

ro/di hooked to a float valve in a ro holding tank/bucket. from the bucket a aqua-lifter pump to the reactor. First question is will this pressure be ok for the pump on the reactor? Then I was thinking of a BRS Dosing Pump from the reactor up to a float valve in the sump. I need to move it about 4' up and about 30' across. Would this setup work? If not what what you recommend? Thanks!

An aqua lifter isn't going to do the trick on 4' of head pressure and the BRS doser isn't going to put out enough at a time, they are also not meant for continous duty unfortunately. What you are going to have to do is find a small powerhead that is rated for a 4' head pressure and puts out around 25-50 gph at that head. You will need at least one electric float silenoid in your sump hooked to an ATO controller to tell the powerhead when to turn 0n/off.

He built mine too, I know he does! I really wish I didn't have to pump it up from the basement.(Next house will be built around tank plans!...?, hope my wife doesn't see that) - I don't really want to drip, would rather have it connected to ato/float valve.

Ok, not 100% positive but I think if I make some adjustments under the sump I can get the kalk reactor to fit. Questions are though, if so how do I feed the water from ro to the reactor? Obviously it can't be pressurized? Then from the reactor to the sump, I'd like to just have on my float valve. I assume gravity from the reactor to the float valve would not be enough? Thanks!

If Tyler doesn't see this and answers you. Come over and see how he got mine set up.  It runs the ro thru the reactor and then to the sump using an ATO float and a selenoid to shut off the RO so it's not under pressure.

You won't be able to use a standard float valve in the sump, it will build pressure. You need a free flowing system like a standard ATO system with electric float sensors and a powerhead/dosing pump to push the water from a reservoir through the reactor and into the sump. I would recommend looking at the ATO systems from www.autotopoff.com, they have a pretty nice setup, that is what you need. I would make a reservoir with standard plastic float valve hooked up to your ro unit. Then use the ATO system with electric float sensors to power the powerhead that will sit inside the reservoir to push water from your reservoir in the basement up to your sump to top off it off. Take a look at the PDF file on www.geosreef.com he has a nice drawing of the setup I am talking about.

Or if you want to take up less room, you can do what I did to Brads. On Brads, his ro unit has a 1/4" electric silenoid inbetween the ro unit and the kalk reactor. The 1/4" electric silenoid is always off. This silenoid is wired to an electric float switch inside the sump. When the water level in the sump gets low the float switch lowers and kicks on and sends power to the silenoid turning it on and allowing the ro unit to supply water to the sump topping it off. When the water level rises it triggers the electric float switch and it kills power to the electric silenoid turning off the ro unit.

If you can fit a top off reservoir under your stand I have my old reservoir and aqualifter I would sell you pretty cheap. That way all you have to do is run your ro line up to the reservoir. I think the footprint of my reservoir is 11x5
