All -

I'm fairly new to salt water.  Well, it's more of a return after a long hiatus.  I recently inherited a 55 gallon salt water tank.  Up until recently, it was FOWLR.  However, a blue anthelia was added not too long before coming into my possession.

Now the problem... the tank is operating with 2 28 watt t5 bulbs, and that's it (one white one actinic).  So far the anthelia looks fine and is growing.  It's positioned in the top 1/3 of the tank and it closes up towards the end of the day (indication that it's had enough light if I'm not mistaken).  My wife and I would like to add more softies to the tank, but I'm hesitant to do so until I have adequate lighting.  We don't plan on getting any SPS or LPS (probably too much work for us, and I don't want to do a poor job keeping up with them).  So, how much light do I need if all I want to keep are mushrooms, zoas, and other softies?  If I doubled the current light setup, would that be enough?

Thanks,

Chrisitan
