So i have noticed most plumbing from tank to sump is in pvc with 90s etc . Is there a reason for this ? But returns are in flexible tubing (for vibration i assume) .Seems to me flexible tubing would be less constricted and provide better flow . Am i missing some thing ?
Both our drain and return lines are ran with PVC mixed with some Spa Flex hose. This gives some "flexibility" when lining things up. Plus as things get bumped or needs tweaking, your plumbing doesn't get broken. There often seems to be a lot of talk concerning the use of 90 degree elbows (too many or even any at all). If this really is a concern, your pump is way undersized and wouldn't have the return flow you desire anyhow.

A government strong enough to give you everything you want, is powerful enough to take everything you have.
Getting ready to to plumb so was just curious as i tossed the old plumbing from my used tank out . Splitting a 1" to the sump seemed dumb when both ended in a sock anyway. But i with incorporate ball valves for maint issues etc.
