Exactly that.  I plumbed everything together and it sounds like a plane is taking off inside my stand.  I think I may need to put something cushy under my sump to buffer it or maybe do that to the pump?

Did it come with a foam pad to put the pump on? The flex tubing is a good idea too.

No it didn't, was it supposed to? 

Bugz - When you say to use a hose and suspend it you mean so that it doesn't touch the bottom of the sump tank correct?

My Mag 12 came with a foam pad.

I have two Mag 9.5's. Neither came with a foam pad.
