Well I ordered the 4 stage value plus RO/DI unit and got it all plumbed and turned the water on and.....WATER EVERYWHERE! I though something was just lose so I started checking everything and discovered the plastic tube that goes between the sediment canister and the carbon canister was snapped in two....yay. My question is BRS customer service easy to deal with or are they going to charge me and arm and a leg to ship this unit back to them or worse blame it on UPS? The box was Undamaged and everything appeared to be in great shape and packaged well when I un boxed it so the only thing I can think is it was snapped during assembly and somehow missed...anyways just kinda venting since I have heard such great reviews about BRS and this first experience is off to a bad start especially since both my tanks are in need of water changes :(

BRS has always been great to work with. I've never had issues with their customer service.

I have never had a issue with BRS. I think u will be fine. I am trying to picture what is snapped is it just the hose that connects the two filter housings. If so that would be a easy fix. lowes or home Depot sells the connectors and tubing.

No it's like a hard plastic tubing that I'm assuming is threaded on both sides to feed into each canister top. It's not like the tubing that carries the water in and the waste and good water out.

I will give them a call tomorrow I appreciate all the positive feedback about their customer service though, makes me feel like this will be a minor issue that will get quickly squared away I guess I was just kinda bummed after having spent what I did on it and waiting a week I got excited to get it all hooked up and start mixing my own salt water.

Great service from BRS and a quick call yourself should confirm this. I just called yesterday about a MH bulb I bought 2.5 months ago. Finally got around to hooking up lights on my frag tank. Plugged in the bulb for the first time and it was a no go. Surprisingly enough, they sent me a RMA number and are sending out a new one.

Been using BRS for 7 years, and they've always had top notch customer service. I ordered RO filters a couple months ago, and they sent one carbon filter that was the wrong micron. They told me to keep the wrong one for a rainy day (like $10) and sent out a new one. I doubt you'll have a problem.

If it is just some hard RO line, I have tons, and I'm just over in South Weber.

I had the same problem with the tube cracked. I used two push to connect fittings and a piece of tube, problem fixed.

A while back I purchsed some red sea test kits from them. The first kit had a leak from one of the bottles. I called them and they told me to keep it and sent me another. Well the next two attempts had the same issue. Must have been a bad batch or something but BRS was very patient with me and finally the third time was the charm. I paid nothing for the replacements.

Just wanted to update this thread. I called their customer service and within 3 minutes they decided to overnight me the replacement part free of charge and apologized for the inconvenience. Needless to say I'm very happy with the level of customer service and will be shopping at BRS in the future :)
