Hey...has anyone ever set up a web camera to be able to view tank/sump while out of town? I am really interested In doing this...I am sure it has been done by others but I can't find any info on it! Anyone seen someone who has set up cameras on there tanks?
The Foscam FI8910W seems to be pretty popular. It can Pan and Tilt. I have one and am pretty happy with it for the price. I think I paid $90 or $100 for mine. I've seen it go as low as $80.
I did this years back with my old tank, had a camera across the room focused just on the tank with an on demand stream server. I used it to watch my tank from the office I commuted to for stress relieving purposes.

I have the foscam too and LOVE it. Its wireless and very clear. Their app also works fantastically. I monitored my tank from Europe on my iphone with it and it worked great.
Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.
Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following. 50 Gallon rimless cube. 180 Gallons mixed reef paradise
