So best way I can explain this.

You know on tangs how in front of their tale has 1 indent on each side of his body. My yellow eye kole tang has those 2 indents sticking out now almost like its his bones or he is growing something there.

Is this normal. I would imagine not. He rubs against the glass to remove them

Maybe hes just maturing and his scalpels are getting bigger? Should be Normal... but rubbing isn't =)

It was one side last night now both sides tonight. It doesnt look to be infected. My other tang is fine.

He doesnt look to be rubbing them any more. Now it looks like he is going after his reflection in the glass with his mouth

Just looked online looks like they push them out when they are fighting or mad. And I have noticed that my kole tang and a wrasse have been trying to show whos boss over the past few days

yeah, they are for fighting and defending themselves/territory disputes.  Unusual to rub the area on something, unless it is attacking another fish.

I may have just been seeing things. Cause at second look he was just looking at his reflection ( I guess)
