i need to find a small skimmer with a foot print of no more than 5" by 5" the smaller the better, if there is no skimmer this small i could use a good source for extruded acrylic tube 3" and smaller.

There is a hang-on the back filter with a skimmer inside of it called a skilter (pistonfisher has one).  Do a search on that.  I don't use skimmers on my nanos - just frequent water changes.

The skilter would be a good choice but I do the same
as susan, frequent water changes.
