This just appeared yesterday.  I can't imagine that it's a baby because the plate is healthy.  Any ideas?

Hmmm. Talk to Immortal, ScubaDave or Maybe BST Aquatics. They all have plates putting off babies. Maybe they would know.

Healthy fungias will sometimes bud off from time to time creating baby fungias.  Its hard to tell from the pic what it is though.

I know, I couldn't get a good angle on the picture.  But this afternoon, the bump was off the fungia and on the sand.  So obviously it's not a baby.

So, the 'growth' had a bright yellow mouth this morning.  So I reached in the tank and grabbed it.  It's a ricordia yuma that fell behind my rocks over a year ago.  Amazing.  There's not much left of it except a mouth and a few bubbles around the edges.  I put it in the refugium and I'll start hand feeding it.  I can't believe the thing's still alive.

That's amazing. I hope it lives but I kind of have my doubts.
