Will a yellow tang eat chaeto?  I was going to trim a whole bunch down but I am planning on buying a yellow tang in the next little bit and thought maybe it would like to have it as a snack.

yes they will eat it but it comes out the same as it went in i dont think it is good for them

Yellow tangs will sometimes eat Chaeto, but not very eagerly.  They mostly like to eat softer algea like Caulerpa varieties.

Is it bad for them?  I was planning on trying to feed nori as meals and just letting it munch on the chaeto (if it even will) when I need to trim it back.

I feed my foxface and sailfin Macro, But I dont have any Chaeto, Just the stuff that has little balls on it and they love it

its not a favorite food but they will eat it and I have never seen any ill affects from feeding it
