Has anyone ever made their own live rock. Saw some stuff on youtube and was wondering if anyone has tried it. If so any pointers. Anywhere I can save money means more coral or even tanks.
Always be leery of a fish farmer...wait or is it a pig farmer?
I have. Honestly, live rock is so cheap that it's not worth it in my opinion. The DIY stuff is too solid, hard to work with, takes forever to cure, and it takes it forever to look decent. I tried all sorts of methods to make it...and even took a class. Just look for people tearing down their tanks...it's on here all the time. Usually runs about $1-2 a lb.
