Well I have had this mantis shrimp in my sump for well over a year and it is the one thing my boys love to try and find and feed.  We don't feed it much since it is tucked away, but it does get the scraps left over from feeding.  Thought I would share the photos I took tonight.  Oh, and yes I do have a lovely large patch of cyano in the background.  Never can seem to get rid of it in the sump.  Luckily it never shows its face in the main tank.

I picked him up as a hitch-hiker on some LR I got from TBS in Florida.  As far as IQ goes, I have not given it an IQ test, so I don't know about its IQ.  Also with him in my sump/refugium I don't see it much and really only get a glimpse now and then.
