Hi all. So I'm in the market for a refractometer. But nothing expensive if possible. I wanted to get some opinions of a good inexpensive meter. My understanding is that refractometers are much more accurate so they are good to use. Anyway, I found this one on amazon, but is there any reason I should spend more money than less on these. i don't know much about them.

Thanks for the help.

The one I bought from BRS looks just like that one without the ATC logo on it. I'm not sure that you need to get anything more than that one. Mine has worked fine and I've had it for 2 years now with no issues. Just make sure you calibrate it often for the most accurate readings.

I float my calibration fluid in my tank so that the temp of the solution is the same as what I will test from my tank. This is easy to do and make sure that temp is as little a factor as possible.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback Krazie4Acans :) I thing it will work better than my current hydromenter :) Thanks for the idea of floating the calibration fluid in the tank too!
