I know theres already a thread. So I bought this 34g solana. It holds water just fine but the two front silicone seems look a lil beat up from use. Silicone is still soft and not brittle but it has some small chunks missing here and there and looks like it is separating on the edges from the glass in places. Now I've watched videos and read many articles on resealing and they say to reseal the "entire" inside at one time. Now here is my question. Could I just scrape and reseal just the two front seams without any issues or should I just go with it the way it is?? Thank you. Sorry I could not get a great pic.
We have a 55 gallon tank that came with the same look. We were also advised to reseal the the whole thing. We were told that the old silicon doesn't adhere very well with new silicon. I feel better knowing that its all resealed.
Not to hijack you're thread, but how do you reseal a tank? Are you taking it apart and redoing all the seams or are you just removing the old silicone that's excess inside the corners and re-applying them there?
