I should start off by saying that the clam is fine, and appears unaffected by it.
It started as this....
and now....
Close up, sorry blurry.
Kinda acts like a sponge or something. It has a bunch of breathing tubes? like a sponge.... Or its just a case of good old bivalve gonorrhea.... It is a pretty sexy clam...

Did you miss my answer to your previous post about this Nudibranch?
So that I don't miss information and requests for help, I always work this forum via the "New Posts" tab at the top right corner. A drop down list allows us to see everything new since our last visit, a few months ago or just a few minutes ago.

I would scrape a piece off and see if it dissolves in vinegar. There's another test to ID tunicates by dissolving it in something else... I'm away from my computer with notes, and I can't remember.
Regardless, it's beautiful.

I thought it was crawling slowly around the tank.  Nonetheless, I agree that it's beautiful. Tunicates are like Sponge and they can grow quite fast in new tank conditions. They should not be discarded. They are extremely good for the tank, part of the biofiltration. I have several red Tunicates curently living in my system.

I really appreciate you two. Tons of knowledge and always here to help. Its nice to have someone to ask these questions to.
Ill just keep an eye on it and send updates if something happens. It is pretty an I kind of have a "hippie" mentality with this tank so as long as it isn't excessively destructive, it stays.

I frag Sponge all the time by tearing/cutting it into pieces, but Tunicates are a little different. If there are more than one and if you dare, just cut one in half with a sharp scissors and see it both halves survive.
