I picked up this tiny eel yesterday. It is about half the diameter of a straw. It was labled as a yellowfin moray, but it doesn't look like the pictures I found of morays with similar names. Maybe it changes pattern and colors as it ages.
It looks like a black and yellow ribbon eel with a pebbled tooth morays head. I fed it small pieces of krill in the morning and he ate went after it right when it hit. He took down a pretty large chunk too. I was suprised.
My plan was to put it in a breeders basket in my fuge. It is so small I was worried it will get out and get sucked up my pump, picked by my clownfish or lost. I a going to pick up a 20 gallon today till he gets bigger. Until then I am using one of those styrofoam boxes fish stores get their fish in.
