What is most important?

I've got the wave maker plugged in right now, Should I add the return pump too? 

Not worried about lights, or heaters, or skimmer... if power is out for long enough that the UPS can't keep it going I'll be borrowing a generator. Am I on the right track with this?

Low wattage flow device is all you should need for oxygen and mild flow to keep things alive. Lower the wattage, the longer it can keep it running.

Maybe an air stone to bubble in the tank?

We need Krazie to design a battery back up system and get the circuit boards made up. We could have a "build me a battery back up" night and let everyone who buys the parts put one together.
