It looks like a lettuce but is totally flat on top. Gray in color

It's a polyclad flatworm...not a friend. They usually feed on mollusks. ..including clams.

Nice it was pretty big. Maybe 2"L x 1"W
Anything eat them? i don't have any clams, but if it's a pest I would rather it didn't stay!

A Melanaurus Wrasse might eat them before they get that big.

Uhhh, yeah, getting it back out will be a challenge. You can try making a trap for it with some raw clam/scallop/etc., but you'll probably end up trapping everything else.

If you see a dead snail, pull out the shell immediately. You may get the flatworm with the shell.

In my experience these are seldom seen and most of the time are hiding in the live rock.
