I've seen a couple of posts on the boards about heaters failing during the short time I've been posting on the forum and thought I would share an article I have been saving that I intend to follow when I buy heaters for my tanks.  Some of you more experienced reefers may be able to punch holes in the article, and if you can, please do as I would really like to minimize risks when I have to use a heater this winter.  I particuarly like the explanation in the article that bigger is not better when it comes to heaters and the reason why not.

Here is the link to the article.
