I'm building a new hood and been looking around on the web for a good ballist.  Can anyone reccommend a good ballist that will power two 175W 10K MH?  I'm wanting to run dual MH and on Hellolights and other sites I'm not noticing which ballists will power two MHs.  Thanks for any help out there.  I'm also adding two 110W VHO to this hood.

Hola Jfoe,

I just barely did this same dance myself.  My end decision, go talk to Eric at Marine Aquatics. You'll get a good price, excellent quality stuff and he'll be able to give you some REALLY good suggestions on setting up your canopy. I just finished mine and his stuff is top notch and not much more than the cheap 2nd rate stuff online.

Look up Marine Aquatics under "Local Pet Stores" on the left.

Jason,

There was a dual 175 MH set up for sale on the board not long ago. Do a search and see if you can find it. Seems like it included pretty much everything.

Your're in Logan right? I'd suggest you get a hold of Steve Burton (faviasteve). I understand he can get good deals on lighting.

I would instead go with a dual 150 watt double ended.  That is what I did and ballast are like $175 or so for a dual set up.

Come to a meeting, they’re fun!
