Topic: mini jelly fish? Posted: May 19 2008 at 3:44pm |
I have about four mini jelly fish that float and swim around my tank. They are smaller than a dime. I was wondering if they would hurt anything? I didn't buy them they just came with the live rock and tank.

WOW that's cool. Just make sure they can't get sucked into powerheads or anything.
If you don't want them I've been looking for jellies.
I'd love pics too.

I had a ton of them in that tank before you got it, I am glad they are still alive!
I have never seen them before, I am not sure if they are baby jellies but the research I did seemed to point to that.
They will get sucked into the overflow but eventually work their way out, they also seem to "cling" to rocks................
The fish would swim up to eat them and then turn away, almost like they would sting........

I don't think they are hydroids, the pics I found online of hydroids don't look anything like them. They look exactly like baby jellies..............hopefully he can get a pic............
