    Posted: September 26 2010 at 9:42pm
So a month or two ago I recieved multiple frags of various species so i could grow and distribute to my Local reefers one of which was a decent size chunk of hydnopora which I warned would win almost all fights with other tank inhabitants.
What I came to realize was that the aiptasia army that inhabitted that half the tank has begun to dwindle drasticallyTongue I have yet to make it to Utah for several months (despite my best efforts) during which I intended to pick up my anti Glass anenome army of peppermint power as well as a pump.
Is the evil Hydnapora killing them? Anybody ever have corals win out over Aiptaisia? Or am I alone in this experience?Confused

The killing strokes are within 9-10 inches of the coral. How far does a hydnophora reach just out of curiosity? ( could not find the info)

I had some acropora I had boughten and there just so happened to be two heads of brown galaxia underneath on the bottom of the rock.  It literally killed the acro over night.  I was lazy and didn't notice this at first but the galaxia kept growing.

Now I have a medium size colony by itself on the sand bed and at night believe it or not the tenticals reach out anywhere from 6-10 inches curling around the rock it is in front of.  Kinda crazy!

They are super cool to watch so I kept them!  I will have to post a picture!

I would love to snag a frag of that BrandonTongue you have to respect the bad@%# corals.
I just slaughtered a bunch more Aiptasia with vinegar so now they are only in my sump. I think I will have to hit MSM when I make it down next and get some of their trained to eat Aiptaisa peppermints to spread around in case they pop up again

My fungia plate has eaten snails, crabs, kenya trees and most of a chromis. I saw a picture of one somewhere that had caught a jelly fish and ate it. Tough little buggers.

Actually all you need is Aiptasia X
Brad and Adam recommended it so I picked up some it makes them blow upClap
Like I told Adam, "Its more fun than Dry ice bombs in a pumpkin patch!" (Moonshine induced)
I am just mad I ran out of Aiptasia to blow up now I actually want them to pop up so I can kill themLOL
