I know this is a stupid question but here goes, I bought a 125 gal. tank that i need to set-up but it is not drilled. I really don't want to load it back up and drive to Salt Lake just to get it drilled and then have it crack when it is drilled or on the way home. Am I just being stupid and there is little risk or what? Also is there anyone in Utah County that drills tanks and has experance doing it?

I'm sure you could ask Shaun at Aquatica, if he doesn't do it. I'm sure he knows of someone.

I've drilled a 40 gal, and now my 26 bow both with 1" (45mm glass hole saw) bulkhead holes.  Not really hard, just can't rush it.  Even did it with a cordless drill.

I would definitely get it drilled. It will save you headache down the road. and for the $20-$30 per hole at pet shops its worth it.

If you are daring and want to do it yourself. Here is a video I like. Really explains it, kinda cheezy sound effects though.

This isn't a hobby...its a sport...they should put it in the olympics.

If you're interested in seeing a 125 that is undrilled, I'm in Orem and I should be around all day tomorrow.

I don't know who has the hole saws, but I'm sure someone local has some.  We can do it pretty easy if we get the saws.

I've only got the 45 mm one, and am more than willing to help as well.  Except I live in payson, so weekdays are easier.  Just let me know when.

Hey Fax- do you need one drilled or is this just for me . My luck I would just get thru the last hole then it would crack that is why I was asking for someone that has done it before. I have enough projects in the fire right now that I would just pay to have it done.

I am good, but we could get yours done quick and easy.  I even have a hose bib at the office, we could do it there.  I have heard the Jones paint and glass up at 500 in AF can do it, but I have not confirmed that.

I'd rather do it my self than have jones do it.  Just because they charge you $$ and still won't guarantee not cracking the tank.  I'd rather not pay to chance the crack than pay to chance it.

I work in af as well so figure a day next week (not tuesday) and I'll bring it and we can drill it for you.

Hey -Thanks for the response I have decided to drill it and found a cheap set of drills. I hate to borrow items they seem to break or get damage some how with my bad luck. So after I drill mine there will be a set of drills for borrowing in north Utah County. Thanks again.
