I use to.  Liked them very well, just went to 10k bulbs though.

Do you use atinics too?  Was the difference drastic?

Thanks,

Jon

IMO, if you are running VHO actinics, the only bulb to buy is the 6500K.  If you want to come over and look at my tank, I have a 6500K, a 10000K and a 12000K all running right now.  The difference is unreal, not to mention the fact that the bulb is about a year and a half old.  The 4 month old 10000K does not even come close to the 6500K.  With the actinic supplement, this is in my opinion the best light setup you can possibly run.  If no actinic, go with the 10000K.  Oh yeah these are 250's right?

Jeff,

I'd really like to have a look at your tank!  250 w is correct.

Currently I have the Sunburst 12,000K bulb and PC atinic.  I'm swithing to VHO atinic and considering replacing the sunburst...

rfoote,  why did you change to 10,000K (is it a Ushio?)?  Which do you think your corals liked/grew/appeared better with?

jfinch - They are Ushio bulbs.  I like the way they look better under the 10k to be honest.  From what I unerstand though the corals may actually like the 6500k better.  Kind of experimenting right now - I might end up going back to the 6500k bulbs.
