32 watt or 36 watt????

i have a 24 gallon aquapod that has two 32 watt power compact bulbs in it i need to replace the bulbs and was wondering can i use 36watt bulbs instead of the 32 watt .can the ballast run both??? someone told me it could but i dont want to mess up the ballast .can someone help thanks james!!

I believe the 28 and 32 watt are interchangeable and are about 13" long with a square pin base. I also believe the 36 watt is 17" long and straight pin base. I don't know if the ballast itself is interchangeable. You could try calling Hellolights.com and asking them.
