Topic: Water Level Switches Hanger Posted: July 03 2011 at 11:39am |
I have a couple water level switches I needed to get added to my tank. Anyone have an idea of using something like acrylic strips with some sort of clamp to hold them to the side of the tank and keep them from moving.

I would contact tcfab (Tyler) and have him fabricate one for you. His rates are really reasonable and he can make something that will work perfectly for your setup.

I don't have any pictures yet, I will post some soon. Do you need a bracket for two float switches or just one?

Real easy fix. just cut a strip of acrylic, drill a hole for your switch, then measure where you need the bends to be...heat just that spot, and bend. One bend will be a 90 deg past the drilled hole for your switch, the other is a 180 bend to lap over the edge of the sump. If you need acrylic go over to Delvie's Plastics here is SL, they are way reasonable with their scrap pieces

Good to know, Tyler I'm thinking two, but I don't know the height's how could I made them adjustable. I'm going to end up needing one for another tank as well. How have you seen people putting overfull switches on tanks, ie display tank and sump tank almost toward the very top like an overflow sensor.

A regular tank, 10 gal tank in one and a 50ish gal tank for the other.
