Im the new lucky owner of a 225g.  I just talked to the owner (Scott Fellman, who is a friend of Adams btw) and he is going to sell it to me..

Vickie said yes..( I can't believe it) and I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it. I got up at 3:30 am and pm'd  Scott and told him I wanted it, the whole system.

Now in two weeks or next weekend I will be taking a road trip to Woodland Hills CA.

Check it out.  http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=7 077859

He's actually someone I've named to have as a speaker.  Instead of you driving there you should have him drive here with your tank, and then speak to the club.

Scott is great.  I've spent quite a bit of time with him (he's one of my editors).  I'm sure many of us will see him at IMAC.  Really fun guy.

Also- I'm way happy for you.  That is awesome.  Just think about all the new expenditures you'll get to hide from Vickie.

Adam

Come to a meeting, they’re fun!

Yes, I got the whole setup except for the lights, but that's ok, did you check out that skimmer!!!! and the calcium reactor and the phosphate reactor and sequence dart pump for a  return.  I'm  pumped right now......

Adam, He spoke very highly of you also, and told me, he was very happy to see it going to a friend of yours.

Right now I just keep pinching myself to actually believe I'm not dreaming.  But I will be in the poor house for awhile. And it will take awhile before I can get it going.    I'll just have to keep telling myself to be patient...ya-right!

I was wondering if the presidency was going to get him to speak,  Suzy would be all for it.  (His name on RC is Algeaguy)

That's incredible Brad.  Now you can finally fit everything into your new tank.  You don't need to buy another thing !

Don't let that fool you, he has to say nice things about me.  I think it is in the contract .  He just published an article I wrote earlier this week.
But seriously he is awesome.  You should have a good time with him while getting your tank.  My wife likes Scott as well, we all spent some time together last fall.

Brad - when I knew I was setting up a bigger tank, I "seeded" Utah oolitic sand in a rubbermaid container with sand from my tank and collected sand.  I also purchased rock from tanks coming down.  The container had a powerhead and little heater - no light.  It ran for about six weeks before I set-up.  I used live water from a water change when I set it up.  It worked well.

Thanks everyone who has posted. I'm counting the days now untill I make my trip to L.A.   Scott is supposed to call me Sunday night and let me know if he can have it ready by next weekend, if not it will be the weekend after Easter, there's no way I'm going down in that rat race over a holiday.

The plan right now is to keep my 65g just the way it is , except I will try to attempt to get my tangs and rabbitfish out and into the larger tank.  (If they only knew that they would have a larger home, I'm sure they would just jump in the net)  I'm putting the new tank downstairs where my computer is right now Kevin  (KeoDog)

Susan -That is a good idea, I just don't know how long it will be untill I get the extra money to get this monster up and running.  Lights will be first on the list and then LR, LS, LW.

Adam,   Thank you for what you said on RC, but I think that is a big exxageration.

I'll keep everyone informed with my progress.
